Welcome to the Bakersfield Breakfast Lions Website!  I’m president of the club John Bair.  It is with great honor that I lead this group of Lions for the term of 2011-2012.  Our club has many goals to achieve with many of those goals going towards helping local children.  We are a completely non-profit group that has many fundraisers for the year that help serve our community.  These fundraisers include an annual golf tournament, clay shoot, spaghetti feed, poker tournament, pistachio nut sale and fines assessed to ourselves during the course of the year.  We have fun and enjoy what we do.

                My mission for this term is to see our local kids with vision, hearing, physical or mental disabilities be helped by buying equipment or supplies for their home or when they are out in the community.  The daily activities that we take for granted can be a step these kids have never taken and with our help they may be able to take that step and allow them to achieve something positive in their lives.  It is amazing to see the difference that can be made in a child’s life with a little help.  It is only with the help and support of our community that we can make these little miracles in life possible for our youth.  I hope to see you at our events and don’t forget to place an order of our Christmas Pistachios!

Our club meets every Thursday at 6:30AM at Hodel’s Restaurant.  There we introduce ourselves and share stories from the past week and pay fines for the events that may or may have not occurred.  It is light-hearted and fun and is made to accumulate more funds for donation throughout the year.  All our welcome, just contact me and let me know you’re interested.  Thank you again.
